Job Description

Miller International, Inc. , is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor at our Distribution Center in Memphis. If you want to work for a stable, growing company, this is your opportunity to be part of something great!

As a Warehouse Supervisor , you would be responsible for:

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in ways that enable you to get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform receiving, shipping, stocking/inventory, and general warehouse functions. May include either international or domestic receipts or shipments.
  • Operate material handling equipment and possess and maintain required certifications if needed
  • Understand and direct all DC functions as required.
  • Coordinate all DC functions to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment and ensure subordinate employees comply with company and department safety policies.
  • Manage team performance; provide adequate training; coach, counsel, motivate, and evaluate employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1 year certificate from college or technical school; or 1 to 3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Requirements;

  • Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Flexibility to stay late with little or no notice.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 20–40 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pull orders from various shelf heights.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
