Overview
Registered Nurse – Endoscopy, Templeton, California, United States. Start date 08/17/2026 for an eight-week travel assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Weekly pay range $2,075 to $2,191 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with a rotating schedule; on-call coverage includes one night per week and one weekend per month.

Responsibilities
- Provide peri-procedural nursing care for endoscopy procedures and assist the gastroenterology team with patient management in the lab; observe and document patient status before, during, and after procedures.
- Monitor vitals, oxygenation, and overall patient condition in the endoscopy suite and recovery area; ensure patient safety and comfort during non-sedated procedures.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, sterile technique, and supplies; assist with scope passage and procedure setup, including documentation in the electronic health record (Epic).
- Support on-call endoscopy cases, including upper and lower GI bleeds, dysphagia, and food bolus impactions; note that ERCPs and nuclear medicine are not part of this assignment.
- Manage post-procedure recovery, provide patient and family education, and ensure appropriate discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with gastroenterology, anesthesia when applicable, and lab staff to maintain efficient workflow and accurate charting.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of California (unrestricted), in good standing
- Minimum of two years of recent endoscopy or related field experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Epic experience required
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a fast-paced endoscopy lab with rotating night shifts and on-call requirements
