Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy

Specialty: Nursing

Sub Specialty: Endoscopy Nurse

Shift: Monday Friday | 6:30 AM 5:00 PM | On-Call Required

Position Summary

13-week Endoscopy RN assignment.

On-call is required with available overtime.

Call Requirements

• Up to two (2) weeknight call shifts.
• Up to two (2) weekend day call shifts.
• 45-minute call-back time.
• Float to other facilities within the organization as needed.

Experience Required

• Endoscopy experience.
• Proficient with:
  • Colonoscopy
  • EGD
  • ERCP
  • PEG Tube
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Esophageal Stent
  • Pain Procedures
• Ability to perform moderate sedation.
• EPIC charting experience.
• Ability to admit and discharge patients in the perioperative area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons.
• Demonstrate nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS Card.

General Certifications

• BLS/BCLS
