Project Engineer – Site & Civil Construction

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas

Project Type: Airport-Related Construction

Employment Type: Full-Time

Target Compensation- $60,000-70,000 Annually

Position Overview

Our Client is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction activities on an airport-related project in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role is ideal for a junior-level or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in site development, utilities, and paving while working under experienced project management and field supervision.

The Project Engineer will provide documentation, coordination, and field support for day-to-day construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in RFIs, submittals, and document control

• Support field teams with coordination of dirt work, underground utilities, and

parking lot construction

• Track quantities and materials for site work including excavation, utilities, and paving

• Help maintain project logs, drawings, and reports

• Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and utility providers as directed

• Support quality control documentation and basic safety requirements

• Assist with punch list items and project closeout tasks

Experience & Education Requirements

• 0–3 years of construction or engineering experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field

(or currently completing degree)

• Internship or field experience in site development or civil construction preferred

• OSHA 10 Certification

• Airport or infrastructure experience a plus, not required

Technical Skills (Basic to Working Knowledge)

• Ability to read and understand civil/site drawings

• Familiarity with:

o Earthwork and grading

o Parking lots and paving

o Underground utilities (storm, sanitary, water)

• Basic understanding of construction sequencing

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

• Exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software preferred

• Open to working in an active construction environment
