Day in the life

You arrive, review the maintenance log, and partner with seasoned technicians to prioritize what keeps production humming. You move from scheduled preventive checks to assisting with a machinery install, then pivot to diagnose an electrical fault on a 480V panel. Your toolkit stays organized, your documentation is clear, and your eye is always on safety. By the end of the shift, you’ve supported facility upkeep, collaborated with production to reduce downtime, and logged ideas to drive continuous improvement—all while building your skills toward independently troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

What you’ll do

• Execute routine preventive maintenance to sustain equipment reliability and throughput.
• Assist senior techs with repairs, equipment troubleshooting, and machinery installations.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and capture maintenance actions in accurate, timely records.
• Keep tools orderly, maintain precise documentation, and help track spare parts inventory.
• Support facility upkeep; coordinate with production teams to minimize and prevent downtime.
• Engage in on-the-job training and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Solid grasp of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting panels up to 480V and below.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or closely related fields.
• Hands-on knowledge of tools, machinery, and heavy equipment; conveyor line experience preferred.
• Able to interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics; strong safety awareness around operating equipment.
• Capable of basic mechanical and electrical diagnostics and problem-solving.
• Background with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience working with PLCs.
