Front Desk Administrative Assistant (Healthcare)

Lakewood, CO (On-Site)

About the Role

A busy and growing specialty healthcare clinic is seeking a Front Desk Administrative Assistant to join their team. This is a high-visibility role as you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and play a key part in ensuring a smooth, positive experience from check-in to check-out.

This is a fast-paced clinic environment, ideal for someone who thrives in multitasking and enjoys working directly with patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
• Verify insurance and referral information prior to appointments
• Ensure accurate and complete patient registration
• Manage and maintain provider schedules, including confirming and rescheduling appointments
• Answer phones, triage calls, and relay messages to staff and providers
• Assist with urgent medication refill and medical records requests
• Post payments, collect co-pays, and maintain balanced daily batches
• Support scheduling for multiple providers (physicians and mid-levels)

What They’re Looking For

• 1+ year of healthcare front desk or administrative experience (medical, dental, etc.)
• Experience working with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Comfortable handling multi-line phone systems
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• High School Diploma required

Nice to Have

• Experience with Epic
• Bilingual
• Additional customer service or clerical experience

Schedule & Environment

• Full-time, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Must be flexible within these hours
• Clinic environment — very fast-paced and team-oriented
• Dress code: black scrubs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, CO.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
