The Dog Stop - Urgent & Immediate Opportunity for a Highly Skilled Canine Coach - Dog Trainer

This role offers a unique blend of on-site and off-site work, allowing you to build meaningful client relationships and work with dogs of all breeds and temperaments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions using positive-reinforcement and Fear Free methods both at clients’ homes and onsite at The Dog Stop Baton Rouge location.
• Collaborate with daycare staff to identify dogs needing training or behavioral modification and develop tailored training plans for pet parents.
• Manage scheduling efficiently to maximize your training appointments and facility use.
• Maintain accurate training records and provide detailed report cards to clients.
• Promote The Dog Stop’s training programs through social media and marketing collaborations.
• Stay current with canine psychology, training techniques, and certifications.
• Participate in community and charitable events supporting our 501(c)(3) initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certification in Dog Training from an accredited institution with a positive-reinforcement philosophy.
• Fear Free Animal Training Certification or willingness to obtain during onboarding.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle for travel to client homes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse dog breeds and temperaments.
• CPR and First Aid certification for pets is a plus.
