Blood Bank - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
13-Week Travel Contract | $1,852 Weekly Pay Package (Includes Stipends)

Assignment Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
• Schedule: 4x10s | 40 hours/week
• Shift: Nights (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Weekly Pay Package: $1,852/wk (gross, includes tax-free stipends)
• Travel Requirement: Must live 50+ miles from the facility
• MUST HAVE BLOOD BANK EXPERIENCE

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical lab experience and the ability to perform a wide range of diagnostic testing with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple departments (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, etc.)
• Analyze specimens and ensure accuracy of test results.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Follow quality control procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Accurately document and report test results in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of recent hospital laboratory experience required.
• Must have Blood bank experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
• Active certification ( ASCP or equivalent preferred/required depending on facility )
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
